12 Simple and Fast Easter Crafts for Preschoolers

Whether you’re preparing for an Easter party or just looking for some fun crafts to do with your kids, there are plenty of easy crafts that will keep your kids entertained for this fun holiday.

Here are some of the cutest Easter crafts for preschoolers! They are easy enough for them to do, all the while having tons of fun during the process.

Paper Plate Easter Chick

Using paper plates is an easy and inexpensive way to make Easter chick crafts for preschoolers. All you need is construction paper, glue, feathers, and googly eyes. Your kids can really do just about anything with this craft!

From using construction paper for the wings, feet, and beak to making a cracked open egg from paper plates, just bring out plenty of craft supplies and let your kid take over.

These paper plate chick crafts are easy to make, and they are a fun project for toddlers and preschoolers that also helps them with their fine motor skills!

Paper Weaving Egg

Among the numerous Easter crafts for preschoolers, paper-weaving eggs are the perfect way to develop fine motor skills, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. These Easter crafts are easy to make and are fun for older preschoolers.

Start out with a large white paper in the shape of an egg. Make vertical cuts through about a half-inch apart. Then, have your preschoolers choose some bright spring-colored paper to make long strips about a half-inch wide.

After you have a few colors, weave them through the white egg, alternating having the white paper on top and the color paper. You might need to show your preschoolers how to start one before they can do it on their own.

Pom Pom Chicks

You can make a fun Easter craft for younger children using pom poms. The pom pom chicks are so simple but turn out so cute! Simply hot glue a small pom pom onto a larger pom pom and add some googly eyes to the top. Then add a little triangle of orange construction paper for the beak!

Alternatively, you can use yarn for the pom poms as well. Or, just use a big pom pom and only add the eyes and the beak.

Easter Wreath

An Easter wreath is another one of the best Easter crafts for preschoolers that has a wide variety of ways to make one. Use a paper plate and cut out the middle to have a sturdy back, and add a bunch of colored Easter eggs around until you complete the circle.

If you have some white pom poms, glue them around your paper plate and add some tall bunny ears to the top for another fun Easter wreath! Older preschoolers might enjoy gluing a bunch of small pretend eggs around to create a more sturdy wreath as well.

Bunny Party Hat

The bunny party hat is perfect for parties and spring celebrations. Using colorful paper and glue, your child can make a party hat that they will be proud to wear on Easter!

Make a cone out of the paper and add some elastic to the bottom. Then, let your kid have fun decorating the hat! If they want a bunny hat, help them make a face and ears. Or, they can decorate it like an Easter egg too!

Pom Pom Rabbits

Similar to the pom pom chicks, you can also make some adorable little pom pom rabbits with your preschoolers too! Instead of vertically gluing the two pom poms together, glue them horizontally. Then add some eyes, ears, and a nose! White and gray pom poms work best, but any will do.

Potato Stamping Eggs

Cut a potato in half and carve out some lines and circles inside to create a fun design. Then, give your child some paint and let them have fun stamping with the potatoes! Once the potatoes are stamped onto the paper, it will create a fun Easter egg design.

Pasta Eggs

This takes a bit of work on your part, but it will be a lot of fun for your children. Dye some hard pasta in bright spring colors. You will want at least four different colors, but the more colors there are, the more fun for your preschooler. Then, create a bunch of blank paper eggs.

During the craft, add hot glue lines onto the paper eggs and have your kids add the dyed pasta to create beautiful eggs!

Rabbit Paper Plate

Similar to the Easter chick paper plate craft idea for preschoolers, you can also make a fun Easter rabbit too! Preschoolers will have a blast gluing a bunch of cotton balls to the paper plate. When it is all covered up, add in the googly eyes, whiskers, and nose on top of the cotton balls and some long ears on the top of the paper plate.

Rabbit Hand Print

If you have some white paint, your preschooler will love getting dirty to make a rabbit handprint! Dip your child’s hand in the white paint, and have them place it on colored construction paper. When it is all dry, they can draw in the bunny’s face, and it will be an adorable craft you’ll want to keep forever!

Mosaic Easter Eggs

To help your preschooler develop better fine motor control, have them cut out random shapes in various colors. You can use either tissue paper or construction paper; it does not matter. Once they are finished cutting, have some oval-shaped papers for them to create a beautiful mosaic Easter egg when they are finished.

This activity helps your child get better control over using scissors and have fun at the same time!

Carrot Footprint Easter Activity

Another keepsake Easter craft to do with young preschoolers is this fun carrot footprint! Dip your child’s feet in some green paint and stamp their footprint 3 times. Then, have your child cut out a bunch of uneven squares on orange paper.

When they are finished cutting the squares, let them glue all the squares onto a triangle cutout to create the carrot. Once the footprints are dry, attach them to the top of the triangle to create your Easter carrot!

Creating Easter crafts for preschoolers is a fun and inexpensive way to enjoy the holiday season. Choose from any of these, or do them all this year for Easter! These crafts for Easter work great at home or at preschool.
