Winter is a great way to get the kids and the family together when school is canceled or there is a huge snowstorm brewing outside. Many kids love when it’s a snow day due to the fact that they don’t have to get out of bed and go to school. There are many different activities that children and teens can do on a snow day that can take away the boredom when at home stuck inside the house.

If you’re like me and live in a area where you can get at least 2 inches of snow than planning for a snow day with your child will be easy peasy. Check out these snow day box ideas activities that you can do at home with your child today.

Outdoor Activities

The first activity that yor ou can pull from your snow day box idea is an outdoor snow activity. Building a snowman can be a fun exciting thing to do on a snow day. Try turning this simple activity into a family contest where you have to work in teams.

Be sure to get out the the shovels, hats, gloves, buttons, and any other tools that you made to make your snowman stand our from everyone else’s.

Making a snow day box is something that is very simple. Just think of a subscription box but for on a snow day where you put cool snow related items inside a carboard box and chose from a list of things to do.

Why not go outside and start a small ball fight contest. This will surely get your heart racing and pumping and the kids excited about going outside.

Have you see the movie SNOW DAY? Every year I always watch this movie and still laugh out loud to what’s happening in the story. Try wrapping up in a weighted blanket on the couch with some nice hot coco and cookies to watch a snow related movie.
