6 Quick Easy Ways to Put your Toddler to Bed!

Do you struggle with getting your Toddler to sleep?

Your toddler needs their sleep and if you’re like any other parent you want them to get in bed and stay in it. But you struggle with either actually getting them in the bed, or simply getting them to the bed. Either way, when I used to work at a child care center these were the 5 simple quick ways to get any toddler or preschooler in my care to nap.

How To Get Your Toddler to Sleep Fast!

1. Mediation Music

Music is a great way to get anybody to sleep including adults. I just about listen to them every night when falling asleep. They have money manifestation mediation music for love, health, and money. But I would either play classical music every day on a very low volume in the classroom to get them to sleep or let them listen to their favorite cartoon timer on YouTube with the TV show music playing in the background. Check out this video below.

2. TV Timer

The old trick that used to work on my sister and me was the TV Timer. It’s nothing simple but letting your child watch their favorite TV show with an automatic timer already built into the TV. This method also works and still works for my cousin’s son with Autism. All she did was simply let her son watch his favorite shows such as Letter, Numbers, and Bear Sensory, and listen to them every night before he simply fell asleep before the timer even went off.

3. Night Light/Timer

What other better way to get your baby or toddler in bed is a cool night light timer? Growing up I remember my mom placing a rainbow bright night light in my room because I was afraid of the dark. Now with new technology night lights have become so cool that even this night light can GROW WITH YOUR CHILD!

Yes, this night light can grow with your child from newborn until it’s no longer needed. By controlling the night light from your phone you can control its color, brightness, sound, and volume. It also includes a toddler lock feature and stays cool throughout the night for safety, and set a time-to-rise to let your toddler know when it’s time to get out of bed (so mom and dad get a little more rest.

3. REWARDS!

Even as adults we love rewards! Why not give them to your child? You can create some bedtime reward charts on Canva like the ones below. All you have to do is reward your child for following 2-5 goals on their bedtime chart every night before they get into bed every night. Your child will love getting ready for bed and going to sleep when there are cool rewards involved.

You can grab some examples below and tweak them to your desires that fit your child’s needs at home.

But with the right type of environment and the right style of cozy bed, it could even be the most sleepless child to bed. By acquiring a cozy bed for your toddler they will not only love their mattress but also the other sensory items, stuffed animals, and night lights that promote a soothing environment will surely put your toddler to bed in less than 5 minutes.

6. Mindfulness Exercises

Has someone ever told you that you need to do some stretches before you go to bed? Well, how about mindfulness exercises? These types of exercises are not only great for children inside the classroom but also great for your toddler to do before getting into bed. Mindfulness practices become more popular because they help with insomnia and hmproves sleep in not only adults but children as well
