Preschool Websites
Sheppard Software
What I love about this website is that it not only caters to preschool-age children but also to college students as well. I have used this website in my virtual learning classes to teach my Kindergarten students who are still struggling at a preschool level age. This website includes fun interactive games in the basic foundations of reading, math, and writing.
ABCya
Hands down this website is my all-time favorite website to use at school to help my preschool-aged children and kindergarten students. This website is great for children with special needs because it has a variety of different games ranging from all academic areas, social skills, and seasonal themes to help promote social-emotional development. I promise you that your child will never get bored on this website due to his friendly nature.
Starfall
Starfall has been a lifesaver for many teachers and myself when teaching children basic reading, math, and writing skills. Starfall’s preschool/kindergarten unit has a lot to offer online. It includes a variety of learning games, seasonal themes, and reading content to help your child begin reading skills.
MathGames.com
I have used this website a thousand times and every day at work. I love this website because it helps my students with disabilities monitor their student progress. This website teaches preschool/kindergarten students with special needs everything math-related. Children and teachers can also create their login information and assign daily assignments and lessons to the kids. Also, once your preschooler has mastered the content it will give the child a star and show them how many points they have acquired and move on to the next content level that matches up with the common core standards.
FunBrain
This website is another great website for Preschool/kindergarten school-aged children with special needs. “FunBrain” This website includes a variety of fun games for children to play online. This website helps with grammar, reading, phonics, math, science, and social studies. Even my 5th graders love this website because it teaches and prepares them for middle school.
PBS Kids
Even my older 3rd graders with special needs love this website at school because it’s so fun and interactive. It includes a variety of different games and features different characters that teach children how to develop social skills, good sportsmanship, and thinking skills to become successful. I don’t think I’ve met any kid that didn’t love the PBS Kids website and it’s fun learning songs.
Conclusion
Overall, each website is great for children with special needs because it provides them with a learning platform that can practice at home or on the go inside the car. These websites for preschool-aged children are great for reinforcements after coming home from a long day at school and also teach them social-emotional skills which is extremely important since the pandemic.
