Teachers quitting during the covid is no surprise. The many demands that are placed upon us is unbearable. Most teachers in states are teaching in-person classes while teaching students online at the same time. Some states has even went as far as suspending teacher licenses if they leave during the school year. But if you’re teacher and you’re looking for a way out of the classroom due to covid, or you’ve just outgrown the classroom and want to expand your knowledge here are the top five reasons as to why teachers make the best entrepreneurs and why teachers quitting should think about starting their own business.

Teacher Skills are transferrable

Teachers skills are so transferrable some teachers have gone off to become real-estate agents, event planners, therapist, and CEO’s of their own businesses. Teachers skills such as time management, record keeping, scheduling meetings, and resolving conflicts quickly have also been used in many other start ups and side hustles teachers have created from scratch. So if you’re thinking about quitting your teacher job, and wondering what business you could possibly start just think about all of the skills you already have and transfer them into a job that you create to help and solve someone else’s problem.

Teachers are great multitaskers

I don’t know any teacher that doesn’t use their multitasking skills to make it throughout the school day. Teachers make great CEO’s of companies because they’re able to juggle so many different things when given to them. I’m a Special Education teacher working with a caseload of 35 students witch multiple different teachers and conversing with many different parents throughout the school day. It is very important that I’m organized and have good management skills and also know how to multitask to handle all of the task thrown my way.

Teachers are great with people

Teachers make the best entrepreneurs because they’re great with other people which is the very reasons I started my very own blog in the first place. People who enter into this human service field know that helping families and children is a very reward job and takes a lot of patience. If your gift is helping others than think of a business idea that you can start today to help others around you such an a consulting or coaching business.

Teachers are great budgeters

One of the best and my favorite reasons why teachers make the best entrepreneurs are because they’re one of the best budgeters in the human service fields. Teachers know how to budget their money due to only being paid every other week, twice a month, or once a month. I remember when I used to teach in North Carolina where we were only paid once a month and I had to budget the entire month of December buy Christmas presents and make it last all the way until the end of January going into the new year to get paid again, while all paying my car payment, rent, utilizes, and other expenses.
